The admin staff at MDCS will be pleased to help you with your enquiries. Please call our office with any questions.

To proceed further with your enrolment enquiry follow these steps:

1. Take a tour of our school grounds with our Enrolment Officer, Janet Nyhouse. Telephone 9756 7244 to make an appointment for your tour.

2. Complete an Enrolment Application for each child and forward to the school with your enrolment fee ($100 per child, max $200 per family). Please attach to the application a copy of birth certificate and current reports.

3. After we have received your enrolment application, you will then be invited to an interview with our Principal, Mr Chris Prior. The interview may take up to one hour. Bring to this interview any questions that you may have.

Both parents should attend, where possible. It is not necessary to bring your child/ren, however they are welcome if you feel this would be appropriate. (Read details below on ‘What to expect at an interview’)

4. There will be an opportunity to meet our Business Manager, Nicholas Yap, and discuss the financial commitment after your interview.

5. If you are offered a position at MDCS, an Orientation pack will be provided for you, containing all the required forms and information to complete your enrolment.

.What to expect at an interview

The time spent with the Principal is to find out in greater detail what our School believes, why we operate the way we do and what our school seeks to achieve.

Our Principal will discuss with you:

  • a short history of the school; with the people of faith whose vision it was to build a school in the middle of the bush away from suburbia;
  • the responsibility of educating children and where that lies;
  • the board’s criteria for staff selection;
  • why our founding parents decided against students wearing a uniform;
  • the community of MDCS; a place where children and parents feel they belong;
  • the varying reasons that parents are interested in sending their children to MDCS.  We discuss the parental agreement that we would expect every parent to endorse;

Throughout the interview parents are encouraged to ask questions if they need something clarified.

If, at this point, the parents wish to have their children at our school, the application is considered by the Principal, and if successful, a place will be offered for the child.
