Working Bees at MDCS are so much more than a means of ticking jobs
off a “To Do” list. They are opportunities for families to connect with each
other and work together to support their school. Plenty of time is allowed for
conversation over a cuppa and a meal is shared together.
Kids are welcome too, and often love the chance to explore the grounds
and spend time with friends outside the context of the school routine. It is
important to note though, that supervision of children at working bees is
entirely the responsibility of their parents.
In addition to the already mentioned great reasons to come along to a
Working Bee, they are also the most efficient way for families to satisfy their
Community Levy commitment (see fees section for more information).
